Soul Sweats is a Cornish health & wellness venture with its mission to provide health & healing enabling people to observe their health from a holistic perspective and feel empowered to take back control of their wellbeing. We believe in the interconnectedness of life and that through consistent conscious practice we can connect to ourselves, loved ones, and our planet and thus lead a healthier and more content life. We enable people to thrive for a healthier and happier life through consistent practices such as breathwork, hot & cold therapy, yoga, sound healing, ecstatic dance and meditation; the synergy of which has a multitude of scientifically backed psychological & physiological health benefits. 

Samuel Boot

FOUNDER

Sam holds an Advanced Wim Hof Method Certification, is a Holistic Lifestyle Coach at the Chek Institute, Breathworker trained in various disciplines & a Level 2 NatLifeCoach. He uses his Permaculture Design Certification to design & create unique events, experiences & workshops to evoke a deep sense of connection to people & planet. Some of which have been featured in The Times Newspaper, Daily Mail, Suitcase & Elle Magazine. His ethos surrounds the interconnectedness of life and that through conscious consistent practice with various modalites such as Breathwork, Cold Therapy, Restorative Movement, Grounding, Heat Contrast Therapy, Sound Healing, Meditation & High Vibrational Foods to name a few, we can find a deeper connection to our inner & outer worlds and thus attain the profound benefits this connection has to offer. 

Sam & Jana hold Retreats & Workshops on the coastal shores of Cornwall, UK, occasionally heading to their Permaculture Farm & Retreat space in Playa Colorado, Nicaragua, CA.

Jana Virian

FOUNDER

Jana believes in the power of mindful movement and breath to help balance the nervous system. During WHM workshops and retreats Jana’s Vinyasa ‘pre-ice flows’ focus on generating inner heat and activating the sympathetic NS whilst always reconnecting students to their breath. Her calming restorative yoga Nidra classes help students to drop into a deep meditative and relaxed state activating the parasympathetic NS. Jana has over 10 years’ experience in yogic and holistic health disciplines with a postgraduate research degree in psychology. Her professional background in mental health and running retreats ensures that all participants feel safe and empowered when facing challenges. She deeply believes in combining the power of cold therapy, breath, and mindful movement with the grounding energy of science to help people lead a more connected and healthy life.

    here was nothing unusual about the hot tub. A slick circle of sunken cedar, the water inside shimmering the same shade of rose gold as the setting winter sun. There was one thing missing, however: steam. Sitting on the little bench around the tub’s internal edge, I hugged my arms to my chest as my body jerked with shivers. It wasn’t bubbles that golden light was reflecting off but shards of ice. I was in the final two minutes of a four-hour Wim Hof Method workshop, experiencing the ice bath we’d been building up to during an afternoon of preparatory breathwork.

Who are your workshops and retreats for?

Whether you are looking to improve mental or physical health, relieve symptoms related to an illness, or are just curious to find out what our workshops and retreats are all about - we offer something for everyone. The intimate quality of each event allows for ample personal attention, and feedback tailored to your specific situation.

Do you provide venues for Corporate Workshops/Private Events?

We cooperate with various beautiful venue spaces in Cornwall, UK ranging from Bodmin area to North Cornwall. Please get in touch via email or we would love to discuss options in a free consultation.

Are there any restrictions for taking part in Wim Hof Method Workshops/Retreats?

Out of precaution, we advise against participation during pregnancy, or if you are epileptic. People with cardiovascular issues, or any other serious health conditions should always consult a medical professional before starting the Wim Hof Method. Do you offer private workshops and retreats?

Yes. Please get in touch if you would like to organise a private event and we can tailor the experience to your needs including cold immersion, breathwork, yoga, ecstatic dance, and wild spa experiences with sauna and cedar hot tub. Please get in touch if you would like a free 1:1 consultation.

Do you offer/recommend local accommodation near by in Cornwall?

Please check out our beautiful beach house ‘Seaview Nook’ located 10 minutes walk away from and overlooking Porthtowan Beach, Cornwall. It is located 5 minutes drive from Soul Sweats HQ at the Ecopark Porthtowan and no longer than 15 minutes drive away from our other workshop/retreat locations. Do you offer Corporate Workshops all over the UK/abroad?

We are happy to travel for Corporate Workshops throughout the UK and abroad. Please get in touch for a free consultation.

Do I need any prior experience to take part in a Wim Hof Method event?

You need no prior experience to take part in a Wim Hof Method Fundamentals Workshop (Level 1) or Retreat. If you have no prior experience with cold exposure, we recommend you finish your showers cold in the days leading up to the workshop. This may be overwhelming at first, but just try to relax, focus on your breath, and bring it into a controlled, steady rhythm.

Do you offer 1:1 sessions?

Yes. Our offerings range from cold immersion, breathwork, yoga, ecstatic dance with optional use of our wild spa experience with sauna and cedar hot tub. Please get in touch if you would like a free 1:1 consultation.

We have worked with numerous companies with different backgrounds such as NHS staff, USAF military, corporate and local businesses. Soul Sweats Corporate Workshops are curated to help organisations embed evidence-based somatic practices into their professional and personal lives to encourage collective and individual thriving.

I struggle practising breathwork on my own - can you help?

We often get messages about how people feel inspired by the insights attained after group breathwork and would like to make it part of their daily routine but struggle to do this on their own. We offer 1:1 classes, both in person and online, as well as breathwork classes. Please drop us an email if you would like to find out more.
